Originally we asked that Pascal, a student studying A-Level Drama, would act as Chris' personified illness as we had seen him act many times and all agreed he had the appropriate appearance. The black coat that he is wearing within the picture to the left is what we planned for him to wear because this would help the mise-en-scene express the danger of mental illness. However, Pascal was rarely available to film due to having other commitments such as a school production. Previous to agreeing it would not be suitable to use him within our film we did complete a few shots to see how well he would fulfill the role.
Pascal is the actor entering from the right of the frame.

Chris Holland is 43 years old and is an actor that fits the requirement that our audience research data created. Despite not having much acting experience Chris proved capable of playing the protagonist within our opening sequence due to being a story teller to the young and old meaning that he was comfortable despite being put under pressure during filming. What qualified Chris most for the role was his experience working with people suffering from mental illness which helped him to express the disorder with clarity so that the audience could better interpret his
behaviour.
Alex is shown to the left and was Pascal's replacement. Alex's persona suited the role due to him being quiet and thoughtful. He offered to step in for Pascal when he heard of our problem and after checking he had all the suitable clothes for the role we began filming. Alex played the role well and considering he has not studied drama he performed all actions without difficulty whilst following our specification.
