Yesterday's first lesson introduced us to the world of media and what the course would entail. After establishing what we would be covering in the next year we began to come to grips with the study of Semiology which exposed us to how we're affected by certain colours and objects. We then began to understand how particular signs and colours enable us to follow story lines within movies or allow us to avoid danger by interpreting the meaning of hazard symbols.
